Launching works are underway for package V4 of the Klang Valley MRT project.
Working under Sunway Construction, Strongforce have been contracted to provide the full labour force and specialist hydraulic equipment to operate the launching gantry system to erect the segmental box girders. Running from section 17 to Semantan Portal of the KLMRT development, the V4 package is approximately 120 spans and 3.9 km in length.
Construction of the Klang Valley MRT involves 8 structural packages (V1-V8). Once complete the rail-based public transport network which, together with the existing light rail transit (LRT), monorail, KTM Komuter, KLIA Ekspres and KLIA Transit systems, forms the backbone of the Greater Kuala Lumpur/ Klang Valley regions public transport system.
