Work is underway on Stage Two of the United Arab Emirates national railway network “Etihad Rail” where StrongForce have been awarded the post tension scope for three packages.
StrongForce has mobilised on site for package 2D which will form part of the railways bridge structures from Sharjah to Fujairah. The post tension scope consists of 504 I-Girders spanning between 30.0 to 40.0 metres in length and totaling over 1,520 tones of post tension strand.
The package will form part of Phase 2 that will extend across the United Arab Emirates from the border with Saudi Arabia at Ghuweifat, connecting the Emirates via Abu Dhabi, KIZAD, Khalifa Port, Jebel Ali Port, Dubai, Sharjah, Ras al-Khaimah and Fujairah on the UAE’s east coast. The second stage is set for completion in Q4 2022 and will form a vital part of the country’s railway network.
